A CLASSIC 20X20CM FORMAT, A SURFACE AS SILKY AS CONCRETE, SIX DELICATE AND UNDERSTATED NUANCES, BUT ABOVE ALL INFINITE NUANCES ENRICHED BY SIMPLE GLOSSY STROKES THAT SLIGHTLY BLUR OR BRIGHTEN FOLLOWING THE LIGHT. THE MULTIPLICATION OF UNPREDICTABLE AND UNEXPECTED EFFECTS MAKES THIS COLLECTION UNIQUE WITH COUNTLESS USES FOR BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR WALL AND FLOOR COVERINGS. We have to go back a bit in time, to 46/44 B.C., to discover that already the engineers of Ancient Rome were using the famous Roman concrete, still being studied today by the Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and CNR, composed of a special mixture made of red pozzolan combined with lava and pumice that increased strength but lightened the concrete. Lava and pumice from that very mountain symbolic of Naples, Mount Vesuvius. Ships loaded with lava and pumice from our Vesuvius, left Pompeii for Pozzuoli and from there for Ostia giving rise to an intense commercial traffic between the two ports. A small great Italian history made of creativity and technical solutions of study and research of materials that allowed to deliver to generations extraordinary works of civil and urban architecture.
